jenny melville, our potter
drin pottery is Jenny Melville. An Irish potter living in the rolling hills of Country Down.
Inspired by nature, claimed from the earth, crafted by hand.
All our pottery is made by hand - no factories, no moulds, no production line, just hands inspired by the heart.
Everything is hand crafted, glazed, decorated and fired by Jenny, in her home studio.
Jenny gets inspiration from the landscape around her, from living her life, from wanting to cherish the 'little moments'.

what our pottery would say
if our pottery could speak - it can't, but if it could...it would say 'use me, touch me'.
Please don't put drin pottery on the sideboard beside the Royal Doulton. It wants to be on your kitchen table. It wants to be touched everyday. It wants hot coffee sipped from it, cold salty butter stored in it, moist chocolate cake devoured from it, kids slurping porridge from it, summer strawberries tipped into it....
We make it so you will use it. Yes it will break if you drop it on the floor, but it won't break if put in the dish-washer and it won't crack when stacked in the cupboard.
Use it, enjoy it, life's too short.
